I love the sound of a pipe band! The "blaw" from the drones when you get up close to them with the scream of the chanters, the crisp smack of the snares and the boom of the bass drums really makes me feel happy and at home and I love to march behind such a band when I get the opportunity.

Perhaps it's because I have some Scottish ancestry, or perhaps it's just the wonderful and unique sound of the pipes, but I hold them dear to my heart and I feel compelled to write for them from time to time. This is my official outlet for my original pipe band music.

The embellishments in these arrangements are mine and they are NOT generally of the form sanctioned by The Royal Scottish Pipe Band Association. If you are incapable of playing any NEW embellishments you will NOT be able to play these pieces. You have been warned!

I DON'T like the RSPBA and I DON'T like their embellishments, as I consider them to be unmusical! I have no intention of ruining the musicality of my arrangement to suit a bunch of narrow-minded, musically incompetent stick-in-the_muds, so I will NOT be altering my notes to make them more "palatable" to the piping community.

This is GREAT music. Play it the way I wrote it. Yes, you will need to learn some new embellishments. So what! Take on the challenge and reap the reward!
